|
|
As you have maybe heard in the news today if you life in europe, the ukraine banned porn totally (medical important ones excluded) and now suggested that ban to the EU.
Currently there are wierd politic actions all around the world happening, special because radical feminist groups which had a big success in japan where almost everything erotic in adult games is banned now (the EOCS, the biggest censorship company in japan, changed its rules so that even "girl" and "student council" is banned in games) and porns with actors that look [word censored] or wear clothes that [word censored] people wear (like schooluniforms, schulswimsuits) got even banned with a new law by politicans.
So I ask you now for your thoughts about the results of porn and erotic things being banned. In japan, which got the lowest [word censored]-rate worldwide, the [word censored] increased quickly after the ban of erotic things in games. So what will happen if everything is banned? |

Marx, I believe the medically important "porn" is just the images pertaining to female/male specific anatomy.
Well, my take is that governments always take a protective measure too far. I don't think the governments need involved in anything regarding content so long as all characters and/or cast are 18+ years of age. |

I think I have heard of certain medical fields that pertain to erectile disfunctions and the use of porn was used. I don't know if that is what was being talked about though.
To be honest, I think its probably rediculous, as long as pedophile materials aren't used. Believe me when I say that the more the government tries to censor these things, the more people will resist it. _________________

I believe there was an episode of Family Guy in which real life became censored.
Censorship in and of itself is unconstitutional in the U.S., although there are a few subjects that I can understand being censored due to their illegal nature. It seems funny, though, that more and more movies seem to be able to include detailed drug use and abuse, yet people get shocked when they see an actress naked.
The problem with most political structures is the popularity factor. It is often said what is popular is not always right, and what is right is not always popular. With popularity contests (aka elections) officials are more likely to do what is popular, rather than what is right. |

Some people believe repression is the same thing as a 'solution'. These people are wrong. Trying to use rules and blind laws to curb human impulse is a fools dream.
Now pornography will only be available through black market and other illegal channels. Those who are part of its production will no longer have the safety of government compliance to protect them. I sense dark tidings... _________________ "One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster.

You can always do home made pornography.
That is not considered porn unless you sell it. Its perfectly safe if you just keep it to watch, and you don't copy it.
But, if you want to watch people who make this their profession, you'd have to buy it. Unless you and your wife/husband are porn stars. And if you are, a lot of people I know might worship you.
But if its going to be illegal, a lot of people will be out of a job. _________________ [insert witty comment] |

Prohibitive laws of this kind don't usually end well. Just see the Prohibition Era in the U.S., or the on-going war against drugs going on... well, basically everywhere.
Eastern Europe and the former Soviet states are already plagued by rampant human trafficking (usually tied with coerced prostitution and other exploitation), including the Ukraine. I question that country's wisdom in putting a wide-sweeping ban on pornography... it seems more like a political move to maybe sweep the entire sex-trade industry under the rug so as to somehow improve their image to the rest of the world. Problems are likely only to fester and get worse... _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! A Bon Bon Tale)

However the EU has along history of 'Jumping on such Bandwagons', wasting billions of Euros only to reverse the law after some one comes to their senses. Such as the law in the EU that governed how straight a cucumber had to be and how much of a bend a banana was allowed to have?! Farmers and importers throwing away good food simply because it was not straight enough. And now pornography, well if I know politicians
they will make sure they have plenty stashed away for when they are not screwing their secretaries or rear-ending strange men in the public toilets on Hampstead Heath. _________________ Terminus: http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=239198#239198

Well, I think it would be a great loss of fees but on the other side there could be very high punishments. However, the world is currently wierd at things that can be seen as erotic, special the UNICEF since there is a chinese ex-idol one of the leading members which wanted to ban swimsuits in any kind of cartoon for "saving the childs". |
