im curious as to wheteher any of my fellow forum members here play any RTS type games, this is an open discussion for both console and PC RTS gamers(by "gamers" i mean both casual and hardcore gamers).
btw if this topic has already been discussed i apologize, i didnt have time to check the boards this morning.

I've played Homeworld and Homeworld2 for the pc was well as the civilization games and Halo Wars for the 360.

| I'm not a big fan of the console games. Battlefield 2 on the pc is the way to go. I've played COD4, but wasn't too impressed with the game play. The graphics are awesome though. |

  Well umm i have played every game made by Blizzered exept Deablo 3. I have played alot of other games also, most stratigy. Age of Empires 1, 2, and 3, Empire Earth 1 and 2. Neverwinter Nights 1 and the first expantion. Temple of Elementale Eavil... and i still havent eaven chipped the ice yet.

i mostly play alot of supreme commander as well as sins of a solar empire, dont know how hardcore nerdy you guys are but these titles are pretty well respected as far as the genre goes...

I enjoyed the game a lot. It's not the same as homeworld one, though so if your expecting that sorry to disappoint you. Although once you get used to the changes and limitations that they put in the second game it can be a lot of fun to play. My friends and I play team skirmishes a lot.

The Homeworld series are RTS games based on PC platforms. The games feature Space startfleet to starfleet combat. The basic story line of the first game is that a banished race is trying to find there lost home which was stolen from them many centuries ago after re-discovering there past.
The second game is that same race defending there new found home against self-righteous self-proclaimed warmongers, which gets captured they flee, then fight to take it back after picking up some firepower. (The Dreadnought)

I prefer big fleet battles myself.
Ack, speaking of zergs I've also placed Starcraft, and I await Starcraft 2 with great eagerness.

are you talking about the factions? becuase thats been done in every real time strategy genre.
