Okay... totally off-topic sort of weird thought. While I'm finishing up my time-off before I go back to work, I took a quick re-play of Xenosaga... and it struck me. Those guys that hang out with the blond kid on the Gotterdamerung look a lot like Plague Doctors from way back in the 1400s.

So... I got to thinking, has anyone else noticed odd details like that about some of the games they've played? Things you didn't see the first time, but you actually saw the second time. Easter-egg sorts of stuff.

Case-and-point, in the old Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, if you have the faire equipped, and you just stand around for a bit, she'll land on your shoulder. It's kinda cute actually.

Or, the sheer number of repeat characters you see in all those Nippon Ichi games.

I'm sure there are some things like that that I've noticed, I just can't remember any of them. Laughing By the way, if you're starting a new thread, there's no such thing as off-topic, as you are creating the topic. Wink

Someone who might need emergency cash? See, unfortunatly, man has created a world that revolves soley around money and it makes sense that that same value would be carried into interstellar space by man. So, in fact, it is a wise decision to store some amount of money away with your other emergency supplies.

I always found myself laughing at the infected... until I realized that I was totally out of statis-field-energy... and then I heard them laughing at me.

What really creeped me out about Dead Space is the fact I'm a biochemist in real life... in the comic book on the Dead Space website, the first thing I thought off when they showed the scrawlings on the Marker was... "Wow... those kinda look like chromosomal pairs during replication"
... which became an even creepier thought when more of the story was explained.

That's why they included weapons other than the Plasma Cutter and gave them all their own ammunition.

In some classic side-scrollers, the water kills you...

Huh?

I know it's a stupid argument, but it really pisses me off!!

You should see the anime movie on it...

that movie was more scary than the game in my opinion

speaking of weird things in a game what of starfox adventures it never tells you how the peaces of the planet that are floating kept the atmosphere.

*in her best Yakov Shmirnov* In Communist Russia, Water kills you.

As to the Deadspace: Downfall anime... it was okay. I really didn't find it that scary... and I was kinda bothered by the ending, as, when the Kellion was hailing the Ishimura, it wasn't the same script. I know that's nit-picking, but stuff like that really bothers me. For me, scary animes would be stuff like Perfect Blue.

Maybe another odd fact, in todays game with all "high-tech" physics, graphics, game play, and all that. How is it so many glitches can be found and have the game ruined?

I think the reason for that is because of how fast they make the game they forget about the small parts and only focus on the big ones

Working out the glitches is what Beta testing is for. If they didn't do that, they would have even more glitches. Wink Of course, you don't always catch all of them.

Well I would think pretty bad ones that show up in rainbow six and gears of war in the first game would be taken care of in the second yet there not. <_<
