YAY! I loved this show!

In the immortal words of Peter Griffon, "Freakin' Sweet!"

Sorry... was staying up way to late watching [adult swim], yeah, I know lame, and saw the ad for this.

What's so lame about staying up late and watching a few television shows?

I know, I can't wait to get my grubby hands on this set.

What? I can't like the Powerpuff Girls? That show rocked, despite being aimed at little girls and not full-grown, college aged men. I swear, though, if they don't come out with a Dexter's Laboratory box-set soon after this, I'm gonna go beat some Cartoon Network exectutives' butts. I mean it, I'll pay for a flight to Atlanta, Georgia, and hunt those muthas down myself!

On a different note, Chowder and The Misadventures of Flapjack are my current favorite Cartoon Network toons. Total Drama Island has its moments, too, though I'm suprised sometimes that it's not on [adult swim]... though it guess it hits that narrow line between "slightly too adult" and "not adult enough"...

Best cartoons Cartoon Network ever produced, EVER: Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo (the first season, at least), Powerpuff Girls, Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Megas XLR, Samurai Jack

Honorable meantions: Cow and Chicken, Ed Edd n Eddy, Time Squad, the Life and Times of Juniper Lee, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack

Like I said, Chowder and Flapjack are new, but growing on me. Also, I started out hating Ed, Edd, n Eddy, but it eventually grew on me and became a fave as well.

I don't think it's healthy for me to be watching so many cartoons Laughing

Well... Cartoon Network really did kinda blow until Tartarkovski started coming up with shows to save them.

But you think you're weird, Johnny Six-Feathers, try being the goth chick who likes Bubbles. She's freakin awesome!

*In an absolutely perfect bubbles voice* My crayons are beautiful... just not magical."

Super-kudos-bonus points if you remember that quote. But... yeah, I know lame... but I can't help but like her. She's the best!

Never really got into Ed Edd and Eddy, but I did enjoy Courage the Cowardly Dog... and I liked Mandy too... mostly I liked the side-cast of Billy and Mandy. Dexter was hit or miss for me.

I still like watching Samurai Jack too. You can tell it was a limited budget at first... the vast majority of original episodes used a lot of "pan-across-stills" to simulate animation without doing animation.

My favorite line in Samura Jack is still:

Aku (exclaiming): You can fly!?!?!?
Jack: No, jump good.

And the Scotsman. How can you not like the Scotsman.

I'm kinda suprized Cartoon Network hasn't picked up some of the older shows like He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, Dungeon's and Dragons, Pirates of Darkwater, Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot... though I guess they'd have to pay a lot more for them, due to copyrights and all.

Those are some great shows Caroline, and you'd be right for the licensing for te right too air them except for Pirates of Dark Water, which is a Hanna-Barbara cartoon, it was aired in the early years of CN then to Boomerang and now it sits in some video shelf collecting dust.

Also wondering did samurai jack ever end or was it unfinished? Seems like cartoon network ended alot of shows suddenly.

They say laughter is the best medicine, and that's what cartoons are for. So, logically, the more cartoons you watch, the healthier you'll be.

that depends on how much laughter you get because you could still die form laughing to much Laughing but personally you can never have to much cartoons in your life

Captain N the Gamemaster ?

Wow, that's a long time ago for me. I'm starting to feel ancient from the relative time a lot of show were on. If it's from the '80's - '90's, I've more than likely heard of it.

I used to watch Captain N every Saturday Morning when it was on originally, though I don't think it was ever on Cartoon Network (that I know of, since I only started watching that network around '93 or '94, when we finally got cable in my neighborhood).

That was Mother Brain, from the original Metroid game (or very loosely based off of that boss, like most of the characters in the show tended to only loosely resemble their videogame characters). Her henchmen were usually the Eggplant Wizard from Kid Icarus and King Hippo from Punch-Out! (aka: Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!). Captain N's friends were Mega Man, Pit from Kid Icarus (though they called him "Kid Icarus" in the show), and Simon Belmont from Castlevania. Oh, and a princess who actually wasn't even from any real-life videogame... never figured out why they used a generic princess like that, when Zelda or Peach would have been the obvious choices (except for, maybe, a jealous Mario and Link being the reason).
