I've heard that they are considered to be among the best WH40K books. Do you think that's true?
I've always thought that the 40K universe is really interesting. I really like how dark and violent it is, and the many different factions.
At the moment I'm reading the Harry Dresden series by Jim Butcher. They are entertaining enough, though I've read better books. But I do like to read urban fantasy that's not some kind of romance story, like some other popular authors write. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

Currently reading the Otherland series by Tad Williams. A very good cross of fantasy and sci fi which will keep you guessing. I am an expert at picking out twists, I did id for sixth sense, and i did it on the first Saw but the first book of this series got me good |

As far as I'm concered, yes. Incase that isn't sufficient, allow me to restate myself. YES, YES, YES, OH MY GOODNESS YES!!! Dan Abnett, the author, is very good. The characters are well written, unique and diverse and if not necessarily likeable then well thought out. I would recommend starting from the beginning though, otherwise the stories will spoil themselves. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Reading the Malus Darkblade Omnibus. Just got into the demon stuff, so it is starting to get interesting. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

Wait... didn't Robert Jordan die last year? And if I recall it wasn't a heart attack so much as some funky disease that rendered his heart unable to function. Either way though it was a loss to the literary community. While I do love his books they can be tough to read sometimes. He goes into as much extraneous detail as Stephen King. _________________ I like old jokes. With them I know when to laugh. |

Indeed. Robert Jordan died just over a year ago.
I tried reading his Wheel of Time series a couple of years ago. I can't remember if I made it to the fourth or fifth book before putting the book down halfway through. It's not a series for me, but I think it's one of the best selling fantasy series, and a lot of people love it. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

Verrin I have read all of the current books in that series and I assure you I loved them all.
I recommend The Dragon DelaSangre by Alan F. Troop and the books after it.
I am currently reading Guns of the South by Harry Turtledove and highly recommend his Darkness series. |

I've finished reading the books I mentioned earlier. I also just read A is for Alibi, the first in a box-set I have of Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone series; they all follow the same pattern of naming, e.g. the second is B is for Burglar. It's not often that I read crime novels, but I got this set for Christmas last year and only just now read one of them. I decided not to continue with them yet though, and instead I'm now reading The Fall of Lucifer, by Wendy Alec, for a second time. I think the second in that series should be out by now, I'm not sure. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original.

I'm reading Swan Song by Robert McCammon. I've been meaning to read it for a while, as I've heard that it's similar to Stephen King's The Stand, and I really love post apocalyptic books.
It just takes me forever to get through. I've been reading it for about a month now or so, and I'm only half way through. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio
