I haven't read books for leisure since 1997 when I discovered the Interent, but picked up Ender's Game a few months back. All time favorite followed closely by Harry Potter book 7. |

I read anything that comes in front of me. My brother just installed a hammock in our yard just for reading outside. _________________ Go on. Tell me how you really feel. |

I'm not much for modern literature, though I will admit there are a few titles which I find some intruege in. Mostly though, I enjoy classic literature when I have the time. My most recent undertaking has been Edmund Spenser's Faerie Queene (Yes, that is the correct spelling) It really is an iteresting book, fashioning the twelve Morall Virtues. _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

I was thinking about reading Twilight saga series by Stephanie Meyers.
But yeah- ever since the Internet came about, I have not picked up a book for leisure reading in a long time. It's been mostly technical books. _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

I read a lot. If I really get into a book, I find it hard to put down, and end up reading it whenever I can. I still come online, but I read it in the bathroom, in bed, during commercials on TV..
The book I'm reading at the moment is Fall of Kings, the last of the Troy trilogy by David Gemmell. He's my favourite author, and it's odd to think that about a year ago I'd never even heard of him. Apparently, he died in 2006, so once I've read all his books, there won't be any new ones, but ah well. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

the only books i read about are gaming books or books about fantasy stuff... the internet is where i read the most... considdering that i have to whenever i post something or read one of your great stories... I also have a writing problem (as you all know) that disallows me to make perfect sense... anyway no ones perfect and if they are they can probally make whatever it is ever more better... anyway i just dont like to read, unless if it gets my attention... _________________ I guess im not really going to be a member anytime soon... so please members of BonBon... please help me out with my character discriptions so that way maybe one day a artist here can put a pic of my character on a forum... i would love to see that happen one day... I've heard a lot of good things about Gemmell, and I actually have Legend right here on my shelf, but I just haven't gotten around to starting on it.
I personally love reading, and pretty much always has. Recently I've started reading the Harry Dresden books by Jim Butcher. They are okay and quick reads, but nothing really outstanding. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

Legend was the first of his that I read, though the first book I saw (and bought) was Waylander, for 25p at my doctor's. I noticed it was the third in a series, so decided to buy the first two, and that's where my collection started. I now have all the Drenai series, the Troy trilogy, the Rigante quadrilogy, and two others I can't remember that I haven't read yet. Oh, and the Damned books (what do you call a series of two? A bilogy? Duology?) _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

I believe that two books in a series is called a duology.
And yes, I really should start on Legend soon. I'm actually a very big Fantasy fan, and I try to read a couple of books by many of the big names of the genre. Gemmell is just someone I only recently read about. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

I only heard of him by picking that book up in my doctor's waiting room. Surprising how one small thing like that can end up with me being such a fan. I love all his books that I've read, though Legend is among the best. Druss is a great character, and so is Rek. I think Waylander is my favourite character in the Drenai books though.
I'm also into fantasy, though probably not as big a fan as you. I haven't read many. Terry Pratchett is a great author too. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

I browse a couple of different book forums where I look for recommendations. That's where I read so many comments about Gemmell. I wouldn't exactly call myself a fanboy of anyone specific, but my favorite fantasy author is Geroge R.R. Martin. His books are simply amazing.
I also like to read a bit of horror and sci-fi. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

I hardly ever read a book for leisure, but when I do, one of two things happens:
1) I can't get enough of the story and will chew through a book in a couple days, sometimes even forgoing sleeping or eating.
2) I get interested for a while, then put the book down for anywhere between a couple months to a couple years before finishing it.
Sometimes a combination of the two will happen, too, where I get started on a book, get distracted for several months, and then pick it up again and finish it off in like a day.
Last physical (real-world) book I finished: American Gods by Neil Gaiman.
Last e-book I finished: World War Z by Max Brooks
Current physical book(s) I've set aside to finish later: Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman, Guns, Germs & Steel by Jared Diamond
Current e-book I've set aside to finish later: The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi (light novel) by Nagaru Tanigawa _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! A Bon Bon Tale)

This one has been on my to-buy list for a very long time. I've heard a lot of good things about it, but whenever I look for it, it's always a bit too expensive compared to a lot of other great books I'd like to read. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio
