Mine is http://taliesin-the-dragoon.deviantart.com/ but I barely use it, as I have a FurAffinity account where I'm more known... but, with the FA down these days, it could be wise to upload some stuff on the DA as well, since I don't draw "adult" pics anymore ^^ _________________ ♥ To be forgotten is worse than death ♠ |

I finally got my own DA account a couple months ago, but I'm still not too keen on sharing it with other folks, only because I have hardly anything on it at this point (other than a couple of really, really old pictures). I'll probably share later, when I have more on it... _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! A Bon Bon Tale)

I haven't drawn anything in ages (miniatures gaming is eating my soul.....combined with City of Heroes), but when I get back to doodling, that's where it'll wind up. |

Get better paper. Yer' drawing's good, yer' ink work is great. You just need to stop using lined paper. Lined paper is for writing, blank paper's for doodling! If you're coloring and inking through traditional media, I highly suggest drawing, or bristol paper, so the inks and markers won't soak through the paper to anything underneath. The pads that drawing and bristol come on are easy enough to slip into school backpacks and binders, so long as they're a scannable size. |

Ya I know the lined paper takes away from them and at some point, when I get the time to, I plan on redoing them on drawing paper. They're on lined paper because I did them all (or at least started them) in my classes in high school. I had to do them in my notebook so it still looked like I was taking notes and kept myself out of trouble.
Thanks for your input. _________________ Story

Alot of artists here, I can't believe I havent seen this before. Maybe we can start some kind of drawing workshop if anybody is interested. I just got back into drawing and I'm always looking for motivation.
We can post a pic for everyone to draw in another thread? We can critique eachothers' work to help each other improve and expand their skills. Its just a thought. Anybody interested? |

I don't like deviantart so you will never find my artworks there... Special because you give them the permissions to sell your works at the sign-up and that they are allowed to start legal actions against you if you publish them somewhere else.
Quote: |
3. License To Use Artist Materials¹. As and when Artist Materials are uploaded to the deviantART Site(s), Artist grants to deviantART a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to do the following things during the Term:
1. to display, copy, reproduce, exhibit, publicly perform, broadcast, rebroadcast, transmit, retransmit, distribute through any electronic means (including analog and digital) or other means, and electronically or otherwise publish any or all of the Artist Materials¹, including any part of them, and to include them in compilations for publication, by any and all means and media now known or not yet known or invented ;
1. the right to sublicense to any other person or company any of the licensed rights in the Artist Materials¹, or any part of them, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. |
That means deviantart gets all your rights when you upload something, including publishing it where they want, in any form and any price. Also you agree to give them the permission with that to give the rights also to other persons and companys.
Also later:
Quote: |
12. No Liability for Third Party Use. DEVIANTART DISCLAIMS ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY FOR ANY THIRD-PARTY USE OF THE ARTIST MATERIALS¹ MADE AVAILABLE ON THE DEVIANTART WEBSITE BY THE ARTIST PURSUANT TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. ARTIST SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR SEEKING RELIEF FOR ANY UNAUTHORIZED USE OF ARTIST MATERIALS¹ BY A THIRD-PARTY, AND NOT FROM DEVIANTART. THIS MEANS, AMONG OTHER THINGS, THAT IF ANOTHER PERSON OBTAINS ARTIST MATERIALS¹ FROM DEVIANTART (WHETHER OR NOT WITH DEVIANTART'S PERMISSION), AND USES THOSE MATERIALS IN A WAY NOT AUTHORIZED BY THE LICENSES GRANTED UNDER THIS AGREEMENT ARTIST WILL SEEK REDRESS OR RECOVERY FROM THE OTHER PERSON AND NOT FROM DEVIANTART, AND THAT ARTIST WILL NOT HOLD DEVIANTART RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR SUCH UNAUTHORIZED USE. |
I could count more but well, deviantart is just profit making crap. So if you ever become a professional and want to sell images you also submitted at DA have fun at the charges against you. That is why I use pixiv, at last they are serious business. |

hmm, well im not a huge fan of drawing an image that has been selcted for me. i work much better when drawing the images that i imagine in my own head.
an art workshop isnt a bad idea poe(im gonna' call you that from now on just cuase its easier then typing your whole name, if thats OK?) but how about just makin' a thread where any artists that are interested can just post images that they want critique on, that will make it a bit more open i believe.
that is a thread i would not only be interested in taking part in but also interested in starting up as well. let me know what you think;) _________________
