Well at least 'The Dreamstone' knew how to end an entire series, like in the final part of the last episode, 'Urpjaws,' Zordrak said 'I can't sit here waiting FOREVER!'  |

You find it on Youtube, it was an epic show that lasted for four seasons.
I recommend you to watch this, it's the opening special in which has scenes in which were deleted from the normal episodes.

I never complained about cliffhangers. Yes, it is frustrating but this imply that if they had the money and permission they would have do more of them. Beside this is perfect to write fanfictions of what happen after.

Honestly never been a big fan of fanfiction. It's often fan written stuff that goes way off the beaten track.
But I do understand what you are saying. However, some cliffhangers aren't necessarily the result of producers not having enough money or support to continue the series... and some cliffhangers don't exactly leave a lot to continue on. Take the Angel series, for example. The events leading up to the end of the seres was clearly planned. It didn't end on a sudden note, it was planned a long time before hand. And as for continuing... well... let's just say that there's not a whole lot of continuing that could be done with the way it ended. Though I must admit, the one thing that does come to mind when they ended it, is that they ended it that way for a specific reason, and that was to let people decide for themselves... how it ended.

| One of the more recent series that I can think of that got no end of flack for their ending was Sopranos. Then again, who could argue that cutting to black right when things look like they're about to get interesting doesn't feel like a slap in the face? |

The only cliffhangers than really annoy me is if they finish an anime that I've watched for years with a cliffhanger

nah that never ends with cliffhangers and I dont count that as anime just a childrens cartoon show, I mean shows like FMA, bleach, Durarara, etc...

1. InuYasha didn't end on a cliffhanger. 2. They are continuing the series. 3. They stopped making the anime because the show was being developed faster than the manga was and the "filler" episodes made to compensate were pissing off the fans. 4. As I understand it, they decided to take a 2 year break from making the anime, to let the manga play out some. I believe they have begun working on the new series already, so depending on how long it takes said series to be released where you are...
2-3 years here in dust-hole land.

I used to go there all the time to read the manga im into and one day my friends told me they lost their entire library because they violated numourous copyright laws and were going to get a lawsuit unless they deleted all of it
