I just picked it up as it was recommended by a friend. It looked like a good game, but I'm as confused as hell as to what I should do most of the time, as the tutorials rarely help me.

Also, before you learn ANY other skills, take advantage of the bonus you get from the start and max your learning skills. That way future skills will take less time to learn.

Oh, well, I'll try to find my niche quickly then. I just have no clue what to do during the beginning tutorial missions. I'm on the 2 of 2 of the mission, but i can't seem to take the stupid encrypted item to deliver to the science station.

You have to contact your employer in the missions tab at the station probably to deliver the goods.

And I might be very happy if they can return my old account to me, think I was close to a mining barge. ^_^

Yea its very important usually before embarking on your mission you check your hangar for items that you have to transport.

As a question, can I buy decent weapons or parts, maybe even ships from vendors, or do I have to always rely on the market, its even worse for me when I go on missions with only one gatling gun as my source of offense.

Theres no such thing as vendors in eve, everything runs off the market. Best you can do is look in the galaxy market and find a sector with a station selling something you want for a cheap price.

Also make sure you learned the requirements for that part or its useless.

I did the tutorial, but it kept backtracking every time I perform an action. It did little good to me in the end. I know that its easier in some cases, but I think I know what I can do to help bring myself up to speed. I just simply focus on one particular mission type, say mining for example, and keep doing those types of missions until I can get a better ship. From there I'll build up more ISK by doing the courier missions, getting myself a formidable vessel to do the kill missions with. Through all of this, I'll be training in various skills, maybe even purchase a few new ones to better my piloting and increase various stats.

So far, other than the tutorial mission, I keep getting killed in the various 'kill and retrieve' missions, even in high sec areas. I'm still learning, but I'm getting more and more info on what to do and where to go by trail and error.

In this game, I learned a good deal of things:

1. Skills are everything: if you want to do something new or outfit your ship a certain way, or even using a ship period, you are going to need them. Overall though, having skills can buff you in any way you need them.

2. The map and autopilot is my friend.

3. Weapons use ammo except energy weapons. The cost of those types of weapons, however, is that they strain your ships energy capacitors.

4. Never steal a person's loot from a ship that is free floating or you will be pummeled by their corp.

5. The tutorial only gives info if you are willing to use it. But be prepared for small walls of text.

And fyi, energy weapons do use ammo too just the crystals have a charge that can run out but the annoying part you cant tell. x_x

But yea looting a yellow colored object makes you a fugitive to that person and their corp to kill you without breaking the law.

Damn, oh well Now that I deleted my old characters, I'm redoing everything so I won't have a bad standing with the corp I'm starting with, which is an NPC one that I start out in. I'm simply going to try and do what I can with the mining while I train it to level 5. I've never been so challenged by a game like this, so its fun to always learn a few new things. The only thing I regret about deleting my characters was not sending my ISK to my new character.

I'm trying to do a little bit of everything so far. This is mostly due to me trying to do every kind of mission I can take. I already have a destroyer A Cormorant class vessel.

But no worry of guarding though, where I am its still safe territory cept some easy to pick off pirates and the ore is worth so far over 180,000 isk everytime I bring it in so if you help with mining could rake in the money alot faster.
