I've been debating whether I should get a PS3 or a XBox 360. Basically, I've been a Sony Playstation fan since the 1990s and it's basically all that I know. I've never even played with a XBox before. The main thing for me is that currently, a XBox 360 is $200 while a PS3 is $300. As a guy with limited funds, I really have to weigh the pros and cons of both consoles in order to determine which way to go. Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I mainly play sports and/or wrestling games (i.e. Madden, NCAA Football, March Madness, NBA Live, Smackdown vs. Raw, etc.). Hopefully, I'll try MMA games as well as UFC Undisputed and EA MMA soon.

Ok ill be frank, both systems almost have the same game choises out side of a few exlusives. Also both systems use a rechargable battery system. So im going to mention the pros and cons of both.

PS3
Pros: playing with others online is free, can play blue-ray DVDs, a large selection of options to optomise your experince, Not as meny devil children, can have the hardrive upgraded with eny laptop pc hardrive for more space, can serf the net with systems web browser.(I used the web browser to check PBB once when my pc got hit with a virus.) can use both wired and wireless internet connection out of the box. exclusives tend to be amaseing.

Cons: Cost more than the other system, The complicated options can be a bit duanting for some one who doesnt know what they are doing, not as meny people with head sets to speak tatics and other freandly ongoings durring online games.

360
pros: More people with head sets to talk to, simpler interface and options, cheeper, being cheeper meens more people are playing it.

cons: you have to pay in order to play with other people online, with the increase amount of people with head sets means you have a higher chance of dealing with jerks and devil children, is unable to play blue ray dvd (but can still play dvds,) older modles have a tendency to run into the dreded Red Ring of Death (CPU chip going loose due to degrading lead free soldering and the heat created by the earlyer models chip placement. ) if you want to play wirelessly you will need an anuther device thus costing more money.

That would be for not knowing a thing about tech.

Though I like the PS3...... if I could just figure out how to set up the internet connection.

Ive been a fan of Video Games since I got my first Dreamcast. (which I still own) I own both a PS3, and an 360. Both are excellent consoles for different reasons. But here are some of the reasons I like each.

PS3 - It has some of the best graphics ive seen on a console, along with its blue ray player it helps make your perfect home movie set up. As well as unlike the 360, it hasn't had any major problems with its programing, or internal system. Such as the red ring of death, or error 21952 that popped up recently. It is a great gaming system, the only problem ive noticed is that with all its graphics it hasn't really ventured to far out into the world to include new titles, to actually use the power it has. It has some exclusives yes. But the fact that they could really bring the system up with some old PS titles, and bring them back for a revamping.

360 - This is my main console, I really enjoy my 360. Unlike what a lot of people say, not all 360's break down, my 360 has been working fine since I first got it, when it first came out. Now, being the halo fanboy ive always been, I needed to finish the series with Halo 3. I was originally hesitant to get the 360 after all ive heard about it. But the calling for finishing the fight was to much. Ive made a few upgrades with legal software for my xbox. As well as ive replaced some of the internal guts to make it far better then factory standards. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the normal 360 as it was, but once I finished it worked far better then my PS3. But now im just rambling. The 360 has annoyed me with the fact that I have to pay for live, but what ive also noticed is xbox live, is far better then PS3's network. Maybe cause they can put more money into it, I don't know. But another thing ive really enjoyed bout the 360, is unlike the PS3 they have updated there controllers, to a more form fitting version. Its nice.

Anyways, this more then likely did not sway your vote either way, but it is your choice on what you get. Maybe you should just get a Wii >.>

Well, gamewise, I choose XBox simply because there are tons of games to play if you've been on the original console beforehand. PS3 is older, and has many options.

That's fine. I haven't actually played it online yet. I'm just running through it for the storyline on my own. Then I'm going to open up the orbs. I'd like to try and get all 50 legendary weapons.
