I would but after a couple of missions the solo gets rather boring... I pleyed to play people online not solo the campain on legendary.

You know what, it may just be a game. But people are working hard to get where they are in that game. They're pushing their skill to the limit and continually getting beat down for it.
It's no different to running track over and over just to have some loser trip you constantly near the finish line making you start again and again. Or building a business up just to have some technical red tape tie it down to nothing... again and again. We have a reason for yelling at our games. And it's a fucking good one. You may think it's funny, but next time you try to get somewhere in life through hard work only to have your efforts thwarted as you near the end, remember us gamers, and know that that is how we feel.
It's may just be a game to you, but you are not the one playing it.

Do you happen to realise that assholes sitting by and laughing at our efforts does not help the matter?

I'm finally captain now, and I got a few chances to get what I need. I'm hoping to get 100k to get the black visor, plus an additional 30k for the EVA helm.

Multiplayer, do challenges. Completing all daily challenges typically nets between 2 and 3 grand. I don't know about other people, but I average about 500 to 600 credits per typical Multiplayer match. You get credits based on performance (getting medals), finishing the match itself, and getting commendations.
Commendations are like milestone achievements. You get a commendation for getting 100 headshots, for example. Then when you get 500, you get the next rank in that commendation, then another at 1000 and so forth. Those are easy enough to get, they just take a while and range from things like getting Assasinations in multiplayer to killing grunts and getting multikills in firefight matchmaking. There's commendations for the campaign, multiplayer matchmaking and firefight matchmaking.
Also, at the end of each multiplayer match, you get a random amount of credits from a 'slot machine'. Usually just under 100. It's not often it goes over 100, but when it does....
I got just over 300 once, and 777 not too long ago. I'm starting to think that it may potentially go as high as 1000.... or maybe even higher. Though I doubt that.

There seems to be a lot more medals to get, in Reach. I especially like getting the "Yoink" medal... for killing someone while they are being assassinated. I reckon that's fucking hilarious.

DX I hate when a kill gets yoinked! It sucks how you don't get it then you probably get killed cause you still go through the animation.

There should be an award for killing someone while they are assassinating someone, as well. But I guess the Yoink medal is enough, seeing as it is typically award by way of grenade, which often results in the death of both anyway.

I'm guessing you played the actual Firefight mode, not the Firefight on matchmaking.
