Rise of the Meta-Furrys

~Riku's Hideout~

Numlock paid attention to Riku's words. He considered what becoming a meta-furry meant overall. Perhaps in mere capability alone it meant the difference in attitude between children playing in a park and Olympic competition. His own view of the world and possibilities had changed when the nanovirus changed his physiology. Numlock believes it empowers him to be a better caretaker for the world, even if for now it was Los Angeles, California.

Numlock, hearing what Riku said, came to the conclusion that he must be angry because his furiends had failed him in the past. Numlock thought, I hope I don't fail them in this venture. Then maybe, we could all become friends. The world would go back to normal... metavirus or not.

Then, Glitch returned their message. He was sending a modified Hind to pick them up, but Riku's super computer hid their location. This was good news, since he wanted to keep Riku's hideout a secret.

"I think I can understand your point of view, Mr Edgewing. But as a wise fur once said; With great power comes great responsibility". It's just a suggestion. Anyway, sir, will you take us to a safe place where Dailen's crew can pick us up in a helicopter? We can't let them know about your hideout until we figure things out."

I remember a old hospital with a helipad nearby. They cannot use it anymore, it was too expensive but it could do a great job. I can fly us all here.

NumLock secured his hat by a tie-string under his chin, and buttoned the collar of his coat.

"My undead cyborg life is in your hands, Ms Bakk.", he said smiling, impressed by Alice's abilities, and looking forward to being held again by a woman who could fly.

"Let's take care of business."

*giggles then wraps her arm around Numlock's torso. If she had only had him, she would have secured him in a more practical way but she needs her another arm to wraps around Riku's waist.*

I hope you are both ready.

*starts to raise them with her telekinetic powers, leave the hideouts and flies at high speed as soon she closed the door. Alice keeps herself far under the sound barrier, doesn't wanting repeat her old mistake. It doesn't take time to reach the old hospital and land on it.*

Thank you to have travel with Air Bakk. Please refrain to barf on the pilot or complain about airline food.

*slides her arms away, purposely caressing the bottoms of her passengers in the process for a really short moment.*

Dailen nodded, shook Bryon’s hand and walked back into the observation deck. He sat back down and looked up at the stars.

As Dailen was thinking about current events Glitch got Numlocks message and ordered a hind to go pick him and his companions up.

Yuri decided to fly the hind personally. In about a half an hour Yuri could see the hospital and began to descend.

=St. Nowhere General Hospital, Rooftop=

Alice's metabilities were impressive. NumLock's nanites were 97.3% certain he would have burned them from the kinetic heat. The green fox laughed, his tongue hanging during the incredibly fast flight.

Alighted on the abandoned healing facility, he let out a quick, squeaky "yiiiff!" when Alice let him go. He blushed hard, adjusting his Stetson hat and his clothing as if he could hide his surprise by not looking directly at the pretty heifer.

The gunslinger laughed at that, but reached for his guns when they were hit by a sudden gust of rushing wind. Dailen's black Hind seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.

"Hells bells! I KNEW they had black helicopters!"

Bryon watched Dailen walk back to the observation deck. He decided that Dailen needed some time alone, so he set off in search of the mess hall. He walked into a rec room to ask for directions.

Vending machines lined the left side of the wall, filled with various assortments of snacks and beverages. Three soldiers were sitting at a round table with playing cards, a small pile of money lying in the center. The rabbit's eyes glanced upward to a flat-screen TV, where a giraffe reporter was discussing the the day's events.

"...In other news, the Los Angeles Peacekeepers' search for a nationally wanted man has reached its eighth day today," said "The individual at large is involved with a string of robberies spanning several states, resulting in losses of up to several thousands of dollars. He has been carrying out these crimes for the past six years."

A still image from a surveillance camera was displayed, showing Bryon running out of a clothing shop with several piece of clothing in his arms. A police sketch replaced the photo, along with detailed information about the rabbit.

"A reward is being offered for the assistance in his capture. If you have any information of his whereabouts, call the Los Angeles Peacekeepers Hot-line immediately."

At the end of the report, Bryon's face paled under his fur. The soldiers, having watched the broadcast, were staring right at the rabbit.

Allison had followed Bryon to the mess hall and leaned against the wall as the news report went off. As the soliders starred at Bryon, she glared at them before looking at the tv once more.

Fear gripped Bryon as the soldiers were looking at him, his heartbeat ringing in his ears. As he slowly backed away from them, his eyes quickly darted around for a possible object to use as a means of defense. As he glanced at the right side of the room, he saw Allison leaning against the wall and looking at the TV. He looked back at the soldiers and noticed that they had resumed their game with a slight fear in their eyes.

Taking a few moments to try to calm his fast-beating heart, he slowly walked over to her.

*chuckles at Numlock reaction. He is obviously easier to manipulate emotionally that Riku. She smiles and looks up when the gust of wind make her aware of the copter presence.*

Useful at night but it looks suspicious during daylight. Also must of this think have a logo of company on them. A black only one attract stare and questions.

*flies to it's side and open the door while it finish its descend.*

before they had left his home riku grabbed his head phones and two deadly looking swords of his wall then walked up to numlock and alice he kept silent thought the whole flight from alice.

when she touched his bottom after the flight he growled a warning and went and stood at the far side of the building away from alice and numlock he just turned up his music full blast ignoreing them.

then momnet's later a black helicopter apperd riku comptly ignored it's prence and didnt flinch or move as it landed

Yuri landed on the helipad of the Hospital. He told his co-pilot to keep the engines running and got out. He was a little stunned by Catherine’s sudden appearance when she opened the door but quickly shugged it off and walked up to the others and nodded.

“My name is Yuri. I’ll be taking you to the air ship. Please, step inside and we’ll be off.”

Back at the air ship...

The troopers were lightly whispering to each other finally one of them stood up and walked up to Bryon.

“So, was that you they’re talking about?”

*smiles and nods. Alice was about to enters but suddently flies to Riku.Alcie exits her smart phone and write a message to show it: "Sorry, about earlier. my gesture was rude and inappropriate. Please forgive me and follow us. We need your help." She puts her smart phone in from on his eye and wait that he read it, knowing that she can always follow the copter if it make her a little late.*

riku was about to walk toward's the helicopter then stoped as alice flew towards him he looked at her and was about to growl when she pulled out something and wrote something down and showed it him.

riku read it and blinked then removed his headphones's "look i act this way because im not use to kindnees there's no need to apoligze i kind of liked it"

riku for once in his life smiled and took her hand "ok i'll come with ya but i feel somethnig's not right".

I know. This is why we need to go. Clean the mess will be probably a lot more difficult after.

NumLock walks up to the Hind, sizing up the Siberian tiger named Yuri.

Oh, yeah. That's one gigantic mofo.

His enhanced strength allows him to make a rather graceful jump up into the helicopter, almost as if he had skipped inside. NumLock nodded at the hired guns waiting for them and strapped himself in. He noted Alice and Riku's hesitation and looked around. According to his nanovirus' scanning abilities, this Hind was modified with stealth and speed in mind. The soldiers had a good sense of military bearing about them (no accelerated heartbeats); their weapons were high-grade, and in excellent shape. These furs were definitely true to their cause... whatever it may be.

Trusting his personal judgement of character, he tipped his white hat back. "Alright, comrade. Take me to your leader."

‘Freaking Meta’s, I swear if I have to pick up one more meta today I’m going to commit suicide,’ thought the co-pilot.

Yuri heard the pilots thoughts and chuckled.

‘это собирается быть развлечением!’ (Translation; this is going to be fun!)

Yuri turned to the other two and nodded.

“Just tell me when you’re ready and we’ll take off.”

With that Yuri headed back to the hind and entered the cockpit.

Bryon stopped at the sound of the trooper's voice. The rabbit was worried that he would not be able to use his power another time. However, it was the only plan he could come up with in case they try to grab him. He turned around and looked into the soldier's eyes.

"Y-Yes, it was me they're talking about... But let me explain before you jump to conclusions!"

Yuri laughed and took off. He then spoke through an intercom.

“It will take us about thirty minutes to reach the Air Ship. There is some drinks and snacks in the back if you want any. Please enjoy your flight.”

Back on the Air Ship

The trooper saw Bryon’s nervousness and smiled.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to make you scared. You’re not the only former thief around here. Anyway, if you want to talk then I won’t stop you.”

He gave Bryon’s shoulder a gentle squeeze and continued to smile.

Allison saw the solider and saw how he treated Bryon. She smiled before walking out of the cafeteria and heading down the halls to find wherever the helicopter was going to be getting in.

He grabbed a nearby chair and sat down near the troopers. He took a breath to calm himself. His memories ran through his mind, starting with the day he woke up eight years ago in Chicago. He saw himself running through the destroyed city, scavenging for supplies and heading south. The scene switched to a flood in Little Rock, Arkansas...

*waits that the helicopter lands in the hideout of the assassin by scanning the mind of Yuri and his crew. Alice merely scan the surface though of the crew, it is not like she was spying for information. She was merely curious and bored.*

Yuri laughs and tells the co-pilot to take over for a bit. He then closes his eyes and talks to to Alice through his mind.

‘So you finding everything alright. Heheh a word from the wise. There are many low powered Meta’s on the Air Ship. Some can move through walls. Others can turn invisible. But some, are not low. Some, can turn your bones into jelly. Others, can kill you with a touch. In my case, I can turn is hind into a trash compactor with my mind, killing everyone inside, except me and my co-pilot, in a matter of seconds. Now I don’t mind you looking around my head *growl* but stay out of my co-pilots head. Trust me, you are powerful, but where we’re going you are just another orphan. Just think about that when you try your mind scan again.’

With that Yuri opened his mind to Alice and retook control of the Hind.

riku shudder abit he always hated these flying machines and he growled angrily "awww screw this crap"

riku got up and if anyone said anything he compltly ignored them as he yanked open the Hind's door and jumped out useing his wind elemental power he was able to fly eaisly aside the hind.

*turns her head when Riku open the door. Alice flies outside not wanting a desertor so soon in the mission. She sees Riku flying and staying around and smiles, happy to know about this new talent of him. She returns to the Hind and closes the door before go sit next to Numlock.*

While the nanobots in his body saved data from the trip, NumLock adjusted in his seat to accomodate space for Alice. It was stupid, but he did it anyway. He couldn't think of anything to ask the M.I.B. here, so he turned to Alice.

"I used to be a parkour enthusiast before I became a conspiracy theorist. Now I'm a cyborg gunslinger... still unsure if I'm alive... wondering if I'll ever find the 'furs at the top' that ruined our planet out of morbid curiosity. Do you think we'll ever see who's at the top of the food chain, Alice?"

It depends... Riku got odd version the original strain. The ones the Chemical Corps use to make the modified one that should make super soldiers. You could be surprised how many of this useful name are stocked in my mind. If our telepathic pilot doesn't manage to stole them to me, I should at least meet the fur that lead the research.Beside, the top of the airship shouldn't be that hard lead a big airship need a lot of managing and from what I see from the window this one is rather big. This shouldn't be a problem to locate him.

Yuri saw the airship and called back to the others.

“We’ll be landing soon.”

Yuri looked out the window and singled Riku to follow them in.

Moments later the Hind entered to docking bay.

Dailen saw the Hind coming and was in the docking bay with Doc to meet their guests.
