I saw a really early playing this morning. It was entertaining and it's good for some laughs. You'd probably enjoy it. _________________ I dance with the devil and dream with the demons, fell asleep with death and fell short of breath

((I've got a bad felling this movie is going to be like "Mystery Men" in, while it is a parody of the entire comic-book phenomina... it is a mean, scathing, self-righteous, holier-than-thou parody... which means I'm going to hate it.
Don't get me wrong. I like parodies. Mel Brooks was a freaking genious when it came to making parodies. But, I don't like to be insulted because of a hobby or joy of mine. Mel Brooks would make you laugh at yourself, but smile at the same time. His parodies were fun, because they weren't mean. Mystery Men was mean just to be mean... and I've got a bad feeling Kick-A is going to be the same way.)) |

Not sure bout the movie, friends and people I know say its pretty good.
Newspaper ratings gave it 1 star which guessing is pretty bad.

I for one, think the movie is awesome. The main character may be delusional, crazy and a bit... uh... ineffective, but dammit, he's got balls! Getting your ass kicked time and time again, while not giving up on what you believe is pretty cool, especially when you're just a dork with no super powers. Sure, he gets a little shaky at one point, but he man's up at the end and sealed it for me.
The way the trailers depict the movie are not really accurate. It's not making fun of super heroes, it's a violent and gory depiction of what fighting crime is really like... sort of.
This one is goin' on my list. _________________ "One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster.

I've heard mixed reviews about it. I really don't look at the critic reviews though, those guys have really no life. I look at user reviews, people who go and watch the movie and the judge what they "Personally" think about it.
As for if I'm going to see it or not, I don't know. _________________ I am what I am and proud to be who I am.

The movie was altered greatly from the comic due to some things they did in the comic were never going to fly in movies. I read the comic and saw the movie and liked both. Not something you want the kids to see at all. |
