Talk about crack for a kid like me! This movie had everything! Kung Fu, sword fights, shoot outs, monsters, magic, gang wars, it had everything that kids love! Russell played truck driver, Jack Burton, the first anti-hero I was ever introduced to. He was a wise cracking smart ass without fighting skills and spat out one-liners long before I knew who Bruce Campbell was.
I've watched this movie SO many times I've lost count. A true classic, check it out. |
Great movie!!! One of Kurt's best films. _________________ Go on. Tell me how you really feel. |

When people mention Johnny Depp, they usually think of "Parates of the Carribean" or "Sweeny Todd". For me, however, it's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas".
I've heard people critisize this movie from having no plot and no likeable characters. I say, Fuck That, this movie is awesome! It's a psychedelic trip through 70's drug use and excess. The situations that these two assholes get into is fukkin' hilarious.
Rumor has it, Depp spent a lot of time around the author, Hunter Thompson, just to get the character right. Too bad Thompson is dead, I would have liked to know how close he got it.
Great, great movie. I can watch it over and over! A+! _________________ "One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster.

Harrison Ford will always be an iconic figure for science fiction buffs, but not all of it was for Han Solo.
The movie "Bladerunner" was a masterpiece of sci-fi. It was film noir, science fiction, murder mystery and cop show rolled into one. The special edition on DVD only made a great movie even better.
The grim, futuristic setting was both realistic and unbelievable at the same time. It had a gritty, somber feel to it that's hard to describe.
Another must see. _________________ "One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster.

When it comes to Westerns, only one movie stands tall for me. "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly", directed by Sergio Leone. This movie is fucking AWESOME! My favorite character BY FAR is the one played by Eli Wallach. Tuco Benedicto Pacífico Juan María Ramírez or just 'Tuco' made this movie for me. He was scummy, clever, charismatic and dangerous as all hell. I loved that lil' fucker!
I was convinced the first time I saw it that they were gonna kill Tuco, but it never happened... good thing too, or I would'a been pissed!
One of the greatest Westerns, if not, MOVIES ever made!! _________________ "One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster.
