Yup i'm a geek telling the defference

between two or more different ported systems that have the same game titles but... the game it self in different and i'm not talking about
graphics or models of the game... mostly like extra features abd little things, tat make you ask "why did they remove or change that?"

exsample Secret Agent Clank

same company of two systems that have this game title

Psp and Ps2
lets say this Psp looks and plays better, becuase the game came out for the system first.

half a year later, same game ported to the ps2 version.
and ps2 version got worst...
how the hell did it got worst?...
much been lazy converting and a cheap toss in made

Ps2 version had some little things missing and changes

If your a Ratchet and Clank fan and gamer you know the loading screen is a space ship flying to a planet
psp Secret Agent Clank had it
Ps2 doesn't, the Ps2 version is just a spaceship flying around 6-10 times more then the ps2 version.

let me explain
PSP version you see the spaceship flys around 2-3 times, then it shows it flying to a planet and the loading time was like 6-8 seconds

Ps2 Version... it shows the spaceship fly around 3-5 times then it have to... and loading time is like 5-8 times then it have to be...
and theres no planet scene it just blacks out then the next level.

Same goes for Ghostbusters Wii and Ps2

Ghostbusters Wii is better

Ps2 version lazy bad coverting again.

Like the cross over of World at War from 360 and PS3 to the wii. The controls are shoty and the console itself was just not built for epic shooters. And so help me god, if Modern Warfare 2 goes to the wii... all hell will break loose.

There are several reasons for translation and such. For one, USA and Japan have different laws. Even if it is a fake brand of alcoholic beverage, promoting alcohol in a U.S. game would get it a higher ESRB rating, so most companies will edit that if they want to maintain the same target age group.

As far as the low quality ps2, it's all about business. They want you to move on, because they will get more money if you switch to the PS3 and/or PSP. They still cater to PS2 owners, but they're sort of like the parents with the 42-year-old son in the basement.

lol Ps2 is a kids system now, but making crappy games for the ps2 for the kids isn't a good either.
and they still try to make ps2 games... with out making it play well or look well as a normal ps2 game, so explain that... and i know... they're making a quick buck.

I wouldn't say a quick buck, so much as trying to really get the PS3 to replace the PS2. Gamecube and regular Xbox are a lot less common now, but PS2 is probably more common than the PS3. It's pretty embarrassing to a company that their new product is less desirable than the old one, so they need to find a way to reverse that. Their solution seems to be to cut back the quality of PS2 releases to make the PS3 look more appealing.

LOL that would just make them look more stupid then.

XD they should make good old style ps2 games feeling to the Ps3

exsample if they made a sly cooper 4, make it like the ps2 style cartoony with hd cartoony textures.
as you know if you ever played any Sly Cooper games some textures
were blury and low like a unreadble poster in the ps2 game
but players won't mind becuase the game is fun.

So if ps3 made games as good and fun as the ps2 games just better textures, they might become famous... and they should've kept and add in the Ps2 and Ps1 player ability for the Ps3.

making all games look too realistic when it doesn't look good for it doesn't work.

i noticed in older games the same thing.

for instance: shadowrun for snes

this game was based out of seattle with an aerial view gameplay. the story was that the main character (jake armitage) was hired by drake (the evil dragon...............it's a 90's game so shut up lol) to be his personal computer. if you play the game you find out that most people have what they call a head computer. it's a computer in your head. very imaginative. anyways i digress. the story is that you have taken some secret info from drake and now he wants you dead. so you cant leak out the info. so you end up getting killed in the prologue, and are brought back to life by a fox girl named kitsune. so you play the game, hire mercs, kill gang members, summon dog (they meant god but they also wanted to be original.........just go along with it), kill vampires and orcs, it's just a jumble of events.

however. sega decided to get on that train and make a shadowrun of their own. now this one is a first person shooter that takes place in L.A. basically instead of getting killed at first, now you are on the run at the same time you were supposed to have been killed by drakes men. in this version there are no fox girls, no vampires, no orcs, just gang members and drakes officials, who try to kill you. clearly they wanted to take something that nintendo had made, and re-do the entire game with different names for the characters. i played both versions and i have to say, the snes version was the best. it's a real long game if you try to play it the way it's supposed to be played instead of speed runs. racks up to about 20 hours and some change.

but thats just what i noticed about this game particularly. same game, two systems that came out roughly at the same time.

if you like a multiplayer then yes. get that shadowrun. but i thought that shadowrun was just awful. cause if you played the snes version, and saw shadowrun for 360, most nerds like me got a little wet in their pants. then i bought it and was competely and utterly disappointed in that game. awesome multiplayer, but was not in anyway shadowrun. it was shadowrun by name only

ya man people get bitchy on the name of the games whitch isnt cool cause they dont say a word when a band names there song and someone else likes it and writes there own song and calls it the same thing (for example Its Going down was origonally made by the X-ecutioners and fetured linkin park and wirthen of a month of it being out theres 30 completly diffrent songs from diffrent genres called its going down). but back on point this shadowrun was pure multiplayer and was actually created so people can make there own story about it with free roam cameras after you died so prett much if you had a shadowrun fanfic the 360 versin was the way to go. But the sequal Shadowrun 2 is going to have a actual story to it

Titles are pretty petty in my opinion. If you make a song that has a pretty common phrase as a title, you can expect it to have company. A name like Shadowrun, in all honesty, doesn't sound super original. Then again, that really doesn't matter. One of my favorite games of all time to play was actually a PS1 game: Jade Cocoon. It really had endless gameplay and was what I considered to be the demonic and awesome form of pokemon. The sequel for PS2 wasn't bad, but definitely changed a lot of things.

The Shadowrun videogames (all three) are based off of a pen and paper based rpg game by the same name. It is a cyber punk game wher magic returned to the world, elves, dwarfs, orks, and trolls, walk along humans, corperations nearly run every thing wher almost every thing except law makeing is privatised, and haveing the right mix of magic and cybernetics in your team can mean the differnce between compleating a risky job and puting food on the table or dieing in a pool of your own blood.

I have a couple of the Shadow run books.

i was going through all my emulators and found a very rare, very unknown game that was created from another well known game. most of us have played super mario brothers for either nes or snes. but how many of you have played it for sega. yes that is right people. super mario brothers was indeed a game for sega. except this game was made by EA. now to most people the game was call "super exciting plumbing hero's". but any true video game nerd could have caught that just from the title itself. and as soon as you popped the game in, you could tell in a heart beat.

sega and ea denied ever making a game that was remotely resembled by nintendo's super mario brothers franchise. but like most of segas games, the have to steal an idea from nintendo. however sega is not the only bad ones here. nintendo had made their own version of sonic the hedgehog. again, another very rare and very unknown game. only a few nerds like me that are in the know, can find this game. the game featured quicksilver the porcupine..............could not make this up. to the untrained gamer, this is another one of nintendos games. has the same kind of plot, story, and similar characters.

so it's obvious that most games we see now today were highly influenced by games from the 90's and as far back as the late 80's

aint that some shit.

fyi. the games i have listed are indeed games. however, finding them is not an easy task to do. if you can find it, dont let anyone know where you got it because someone will catch wind of it and then we will have to start paying for it.

Hmm, one example I can think involving crossovers of this one game onto different systems is Tales of Phantasia. It was an awesome RPG real time strategy combat game that first started on the SNES. It was among the first SNES games to actually start using voice casting, albeit in a Japanese dubbing. When is was rereleased onto the PSX later on, the sprites was more chibified, but the graphics and sounds were soundly improved, especially in combat (Still, I prefered the original battle graphics.) The worst though was the port they made for the GBA. They used the PSX combat graphics, poorly made english dubbing, and all the things I loved about it, such as the birds that flew overhead and the mirror images seen in the water were completely removed.
