So I was watching Movie News on Austar (Australian version of cable/sattelite) and they were rattling off a few upcoming things, including something that sent me reeling, boggled my mind and make me question my hearing.

Johnny Depp to play Dotcor Who.

News to me. Though if any one can pull off ALIEN time traveller then it would be Johnny Sixkiller- I mean Depp.
If a new Doctor who film is on its way it would be the fourth one.

Two films were made in the Sixties staring Peter Cushing as the Doctor.
Doctor Who and the Daleks and Dalek invasion of Earth 2150
the third film was the TV Movie staring Paul McGann made 1996.

Johnny Depp is one of my favorite character actors. He can pull off nearly anything "Willy Wonka, Sweeny Todd, Jake Sparrow, Ect..." There is no movie I have seen him in that I didn't enjoy on some level. I would really like to see him play The Doctor.
