I know it's not coming out till July 18th. But I'm very much looking forward to this sequel. Batman Begins was awesome and amazing. And Christian Bale is very much into the character. This will be my summer movie to watch for this year.

I liked the movie, but I think they could have a better villain than the scarecrow |

The main villian wasn't really scarecrow but Ra's al Ghul (super villian)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ra%27s_al_Ghul
But yes. Batman Begins is by far the best Batman movie ever. It's a real toss up between the first TimBurton movie and this one. But I'm leaning towards Batman Begins. Can't wait for the sequel. _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

I'm interested in seeing the next trailer. Simply because how will they promote the movie with Heath Ledger dead? This was about The Joker and now they have to change thigns up....
Definitely going to be an incredible movie to watch. In terms of money, it will make alot, not just becuase of it being Heath Ledger's last film(or the The Joker), but also because way more people missed out on Batman Begins. And they don't want to miss out again... |

So who do you guys think the next villian will be for Batman ?
It'll probably be Penguin or Riddler.
Joker will most likely reappear in the next movie.
They might have to recast the Joker since he's 'still alive' in the movie. And like the Scarecrow reappearing in this movie since he managed to stay alive from the last movie. _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

I suppose we are likely to get a Catwoman appearance since we've gone this long without one.
If the do Penguin I'd rather see him as a behind the scenes plotter and owner of the Iceberg Lounge.
Killer Croc would be fun to see on screen. Him and Bane could make a really nasty set of enforcers.
What I'd like to see most of all though is if the adapter "Heart of Ice" from the old animated show. It would blow away the people who were only aware of Ahnold's portrayal. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

I still haven't watched the movie, but I wonder if they'd throw in characters like Bane or even Hush, since they're both much newer characters in the comics, as opposed to anyone else from the extensive list of Batman's rogues gallery that may have had more "seniority"... _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! I saw the movie a few days ago and I must say, I was totally impressed. A masterful piece of work. Though, I have to admit I was a bit put off by the lack of any note about Heath Ledger losing his life in making this movie. I was honestly expecting a "In Memory of Heath Ledger" or words to that effect at the beginning of the credits. They did it for Aaliyah in Queen of the Damned, why not now for Heath Ledger? Having said that, I hope they introduce some new villains in the future movies instead of reintroducing villains that have already been cast. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

There was a "in memory of" screen. It listed Heath's name and the stuntman who died on the set. _________________ Owner of the Lion's Den Pub.

I stayed through the entire list of credits looking for that and I never saw it. I either missed it or it was'nt in the showing I saw. I'll have to keep an eye out for that when I see it again. _________________ Silentium est aurum |

Yeah. I thought the Two-Face part of the movie was too rushed. They didnt do a good job making him the villian that he should be. _________________ "Every exit is an entrance somewhere else." -Tom Stoppard

I felt the same way. I had thought that Two-Face would have been introduced earlier. I do wonder though, if he can make some kind of return if another movie is made.
Overall I thought that the movie was really good, but probably not quite as awesome as the hype has made it out to be. And something odd was that I didn't really care about Bruce Wayne or Batman. Trent was a much more interesting, and for the most part, sympathetic character to me.
And Ledger really was awesome as the Joker. I haven't seen much of him before, but didn't really like him in the movies I've seen, but if I hadn't known that it was him as the Joker, I wouldn't have known. _________________ Constance Mayflower's bio

I have to say, part of me wonders if two-face is really dead. I mean, I know that his eyes are open when they show him after he falls, but sometimes that happens when people are K.O'd. And it shows a memorium being performed for him as the movie is closing, but I'm not sure that it really can be classified as a "funeral". I don't know, mabey I'm just looking for reasons for him to still be alive because I though they rushed his part. Still, I'm thinking he's gonna come back. I just got one of those gut feelings. _________________ BonBon Spirits and Sidearms

I saw it last Friday. I thought it was wicked (in more than one sense). The Joker was really chilling! It's a shame that if they have him in another movie it won't be the same actor, Heath was excellent. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

I don't understand everyone's insistence on 'who should be recast as the Joker?' topics. I've seen them everyone. This is assuming that the Joker will be in the third film, which he will not be. Say is C. Murphy passed away after Batman Begins, I doubt anyone would be asking who would they recast for Scarecrow in the next film. Chris Bale is contracted for a third film, Chris Nolan is not (although I can say positively that he'll direct the next one, he wouldn't leave such an exceptional franchise to someone else). The Joker's installment as a Batman villain in Nolan's world is finished, he is not dead. But that does not mean he will/has to return again in another film; than it becomes episodic. There will be a new villain, who we don't know. Most likely a character they can work with that isn't too cartoony or outdated.
Rest in Peace Heath Ledger. Gone too soon. My condolences with his family, wife and especially his daughter Matilda. However, I won't pretend that this man was a saint; although he died by overdose in sleeping pills (Ambien?) he DID do drugs in his past, acknowledging what he's doing wrong. I wished he would of had more self control, he blew everyone away (especially made me proud for all the doubters) as early as the promotional stills and trailers in 2007, which he was still alive -- which makes me mad when people insult the public by saying if he wins any posthumous awards, it's because of his death.
Whoa, got on a tangent there. |

I believe its already been finalized to be Riddler.
Penguin and Catman are also probably gonna be in there, since there is a casting out already for those characters.
Reason why I say it is gonna be Riddler- is because I think they've already started viral marketing on the next movie. (John Depp to play Riddler?)
http://www.hollywood.com/news/Johnny_Depp_to_Play_The_Riddler/5283266
I saw some poster, probably a hoax. Looked authentic though.
Word has it- that the catwoman maybe angelina jolie. (fingers crossed!)

Ooh, Angelina Jolie as Catwoman, that's a rather nice prospect, even better than when Halle Berry was Catwoman (well, in my opinion).
Oh, and Johnny Depp would rock as the Riddler. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

I have to agree about putting Angelina in the catsuit, since she's been known to play action roles and still be unbelievabley sexy at the same time. Those are basically the top two qualifications for playing Catwoman.
As for Depp as Edward Nigma... I'm a bit ambivilent. I mean, yeah, I've been a fan of Depp for a very long time (ever since Edward Scissorhands, to be honest) but to don the green bowler and question-mark suit?... Then again, I've been proven wrong in the past (surprise, Heath Ledger was an amazing Joker!!). If Johnny Depp played the Riddler somewhere between his Hunter S. Thompson (raving lunatic, yet slightly goofy) and his Willy Wonka (total goofball, yet slightly insane), it might just work...
It should be fine as long as they don't try to turn Riddler into too dark a character, like making him a serial-killer, ala "Saw", or something equally awful and unneccessary. I've read some fan speculation on this point already, and I just think it'd be a shame to throw the Riddler into the same camp as the Zodiac Killer. He's the master of puzzles, a personification of mystery... hell, his name is E. Nigma! Just keep him close to the true heart of the original character: the obsessive, highly egotistical criminal with a penchant for showmanship, who sees in the Batman a detective worthy enough to be his adversary. There really shouldn't be any need to make him more "gritty"... his deathtraps and intricate puzzles should be more than enough to keep the world's greatest detective on his toes. _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! Why am I reading what I'm reading? lol.
There are no "fakes" there are just fan made posters. Its been a month since the movie came out and people are already jumping to conclusions? Making premature so called "rumors" that Johnny Depp will be playing the Riddler and/or Angelina Jolie will be playing Catwoman? I said it before, nothing has been finalized...let alone a casting choice; not even close. |
