| We recently adopted a black and white male. We were about to give him up because he kept marking his territory, but it turned out that the Humane Society had failed to actually neuter him first. So, he's had the procedure and returned home without any more incidents. |

I have a kitten and she is playful, but reserved. I call her Tsuki since she actually looks like the moon when she curls up into a ball due to her grey patches across her white fur.

We adopted Aj and Christina from a local Animal Shelter, they are both 7 months old and we have had them for a whole month now. We had to visit the kittens on three separate occasions, have an interview at the shelter and a further interview when representatives came to our house to make sure it was suitable for the kittens. Such as no young children, big garden, no major roads and the like.
Both kittens were neutered by the shelter vet before they came to live with us, also all their inoculations and pet insurance were made up to date. The shelter takes its work very seriously.
As to de-clawing I am given to understand it is a not uncommon practice in the U.S. However it is illegal in the U.K. and the very thought of a cat without claws is very abhorrent to all my family. Maiming a animal just to make life more convenient for its human host.

The primary factor that I am unable to get a cat is that my mother will not allow it due to the last cat she had got out and got run over. Another factor is that I already have a dog.
I won't go into minor details, but suffice to say at this point in time getting a cat is no an option. However, my dog is old and I have told my mum flatly that when my dog does eventually leave, I will be getting a cat whether she likes it or not.
