Silvador's Map Test: Alpha (scrapped)

So, some of you have shown at least some interest in helping me test my map. But just saying "Let's all get together this weekend" is pushing it a little bit. In order to pull this off properly, the map test will require a bit more organisation. With that said, here is some vital information:

The Map:

The map is called Fortress and is fresh off the production line. It is designed as an assault/defense style map with one team essentially assaulting a fortified bunker that the other team is occupying. This is officially my first map and it has not been tested at all. It is essentially in 'alpha'.

The Game:

The game will be Halo: Reach, Team Slayer, 8v8.

Originally, the map was designed with a 4v4 Team Slayer in mind. It was later recommended to me that the map would be better suited to an 8v8 match.

Some other important notes:

The primary objective of this get-together is to test this map for flaws, balance issues and other possible design problems. I want to encourage those who join this test to point out issues to everyone in the group so that they can be discussed and addressed. I will then make any alterations that need to be made and upgrade the map to 'beta' for further testing.

The secondary objective of this get-together is to have fun. Anyone joining this group and expecting it to be all "serious business" and shit should go somewhere else. This is not a test of skill to see who can kick more ass than the rest. I expect participants to approach this as they would any other multiplayer match and have a good time testing the map's limitations, finding exploits that need to be fixed and determining if one side has a greater advantage than the other in some way. The map cannot be properly tested if everyone is bitching, whining, abusing each other or spawn camping and rocket-whoring. If you want more than just a good time, bugger off.

There will be multiple rounds. In order to properly test this map, multiple rounds must be played and everyone must play on both sides. The minimum number of rounds will be 4. There is currently no maximum number of rounds.

October 1st 8pm EST

If there are any issues with this date, feel free to say so and another date can be discussed.

Who:

For optimal testing, I require 15 more people to join, resulting in an 8v8 Team Slayer match. I will settle for 6v6, but I would prefer to have a full compliment of participants.

I have set the test date above as I believe it gives reasonable time for anyone wishing to join sufficient time to plan ahead and round up any friends in order to bolster the numbers. If you wish to join this test, please say so and I will add you to a list below. If you are going to bring friends, be sure to tell them the details I have outlined above and tell me how many friends you will be bringing; I will then add a + and a number next to your name.

If you have any issues about the details, or want to add something, please say so. I also encourage regularly checking this thread for updates. If there is insuficient numbers by the time the given date arrives, I will reconsider the test and either postpone it, or scrap it altogether.
