My lurkiness explained

I don't post in this section. At least I don't really do that anymore. It's mostly because I often don't have anything to say. Even to the new people who are introducing themselves. "Hi" just sounds lame and forced to me, when I know that I'm most likely never going to interact with them again. I'm not a roleplayer, and the majority of people joining these days seem to join because they want to roleplay. I do look in here from time to time, and I hardly ever see any of the new people comment on Vanessa's artwork, other people's fursonas(aside from the usual compliments and requests for a roleplaying session), or anything else that doesn't involve roleplaying in one way or another.

So I don't really feel like saying hello to someone I can often see is here just for the RP section. That may seem cynical and negative, but I'd rather that than post a meaningless greeting.
That's one of the reasons why I don't post in this section that often. Another is the threads about people leaving for a week or something like that. I don't notice anyone being gone until they've been missing for at least a month, and such threads have never really been my kind of threads anyway. Again it comes down to me not really having anything meaningful to add.

I could also say how many threads here quickly seem to turn into an IM conversation, usually involving the same group of people, and how that makes me feel like I'm intruding on someone else's conversation, but I've probably said enough already.
I'm sure that there are many threads here that I actually could add a comment in, but I've pretty much stopped doing anything more than just take a quick glance around this section once in a while, so I'm obviously missing a lot of threads.

So if you don't see me welcoming people, or otherwise show any activity in this section, this is why.

and if I don't comment of a fursona, it's most likely because it's a secondary fursona, I've tagged you as a "only here for the RPs" type of member, or I simply haven't got anything (positive) to say.

I Too feel the same way to some extent Ms Symphony.It certainly does not feel like the same forum I joined two years a go. It would seem that most of the royal members agree with you and have left. However change is inevitable and one must adapt. That said I have tried on occasion to steer the forum back on to its former course and failed.
I must be honest and say that I do not know how long I may be staying as my circumstances are constantly changing of late.

Symphony, I know exactly how you feel. Even compared to how it was a year ago, (which was about when I joined) The forum seems more RP oriented then when I had joined, and I don't RP, at all. And it has been a while since I've popped on to check the forums, simply because, well RL has me insanely busy but, I find that there's less of a pull back to the forums.

I know how you feel. I used to be on every day, but I don't feel like it anymore. Sure, I check the posts every other day but I rarely have anything to say.
And to believe that I was one of the first to start an rp here. Its not so fun anymore. Plus I'm often too buisy to rp now.

i use to be very active on the fourms when i first started but over time and now being in and out of hospital and loseing my vison in my left eye i just dont feel like it.

also i see to many new people join and leave not saying everyone dose but it happens often

then rping yes i like rping but now are days i see to many new rps happing and all the old ones witch had a lot of hard work put into them just get forgotten and stop being posted in as for me iv'e gotten bored of them

now for the fursona tread yes i have two fursona's but i hardly use my secound fursona and i notice some people have far to many cheesecake for intanse had like 20 diffrent furs and i coudnt figer outvwho was who hell i dint even no who is main fursona is

now the joke tread since iv'e been here it has hardly been used but i reacon it is a tread that wont be used

now the genral forms it can be active but it's only used for things that are bonbon related and the main treads used are the fursona tread for putting ya fur's in for vanesssa then the tread for disscuing the comic and randys comic.

thats what i think so yes i agree with most people

I understand. Personally, I am a role-player but I come for read the comic first. I try to post and comment at the discussions forum when I can but there aren't much to said when you have ten straight pages of filler. I am sure that if we cut away the pages that are just said and doesn't serve the plot, we could have only six, maybe seven issues maximum.
