I really don't see the need for the I Pad, I mean it looks like a good thing but unless you're always on business trips I don't see the need for it. I've never used an I phone so I can't say yay or nay. Now as for computers, I find my apple to be a heck of a lot better then most HP's and other window PC products. I don't have to worry about constantly downloading, and paying, for the newest anti-viral software, the load time is a lot faster, it works well with adobe and I can still play some of my favorite games like WarCraft III or Black&White 2.

Now I'm not bashing Windows by any means but I've had more problems with windows and HP Computers, though the HP laptops have been pretty reliable... till my last one burnt out on me, and I only owned it for a year. I just turned it on one day and it wouldn't start. Went to the Geek Squad and learned that it just died, I can't remember what they exactly said. Luckily they were able to save most of my information and I had a portable hard drive so they saved it all on that.

My mom and dad got a Dell, biggest piece of Crap ever. The moment they got it, nothing but problems and the help line was no help at all. They had to spend more money to go get another computer. Also, they had a nice printer but it was not compatible to the new windows program, can't remember if it was vista or 7, so they had spend MORE money for a new printer.

So I can't see how I feel about all Apple products but I have to say I'm happy with my Mac computer, more then I was with anything that was windows based. So I guess to each their own, as the old saying goes.
More than likely Vista. as far as 7 goes, if it works on XP it should work on 7.

First off, failed attack Jerin. Reason being is that Apple may as well be Linux in corporate clothing. They scrapped their original OS coding and started building off of UNIX. If anyone isn't familiar with this, it's pretty much what the suite of Linux OSs have done, except they made it open source, rather than act like they just found the lost continent of Atlantis and need to charge an assload of cash to come visit.

Linux and OSX are based on Unix.
Unix FreeBDS 3 is foundation for OS X, and the kernal (Darwin) is freely available for download and use (just not the Mac shell).

Microsoft also engages in its OWN power trip crusades.
Remeber Netscape??

There are things I do not like Apple for, but over all I prefer over Microsoft.
I do not want to:
Resolve software conflicts, setting compatibility mode, etc
I do not want to deal with Anti-virus software (they all suck)
I do not like how easy some web sites can take control of IE
I hate compatibility issues

I do build my own PC for various needs, but I do all my bill pay, email, and important stuff on a Mac because I have never been hit by virus or trojen despite never using firewall or anti-virus.

Yes, it is stupid Apple has a no-explicit app clause, but there are ways around that. Wink
