Hello. I'm an artist (hobby only) and find several Alley Baggett photos I'd love to draw. But, I'd like Alley's permission to draw some and I can post updates of them in these forums. My work is only hung on my walls at my house, but, If I'm given permission to draw some of these, I'd be more than happy to draw one for Alley. 
I started one to show you exactly what I'm talking about, but its only a few hours of work, so no big deal to discard. (I'd hate to throw it away though)
This is just the very beginning of a drawing, it would take another 20 hours to complete to a photo-realistic finish.

Well, I've had a chance to work on this a little. Once I'm done with the outfit, I'll have a better feel of just how dark I'm going to want to go with this. I'm sure I'll darken the overall darks a little more to push the light values to the extreme.
I hope you all like it so far... still a ways to go...

I'll have all day to work on this today (in theory). Hopefully I can put a nice size dent into it.

Thanks j3a! I'm getting to the final stages on this. After I draw a few other drawings on my list, I'm going to do another Alley drawing. The problem is finding another one which will make a killer drawing. I have others in my drawing ideas folder of Alley, but I'm looking for the perfect one. This one stood out from the beginning. The next time I update after this will be the final version...

| Sounds great, I greatly appreciate it. I'll finish it tomorrow and make some prints of it. I'll package it so it won't get damaged in something you can send it back in. I've made several changes to the face for accuracy. I might do a few slight touchups, but this is pretty much the final. I was considering going darker with the gown to balance it out a bit more.

I was considering doing a close up shot of Alley's face for the next Alley piece. I want to get the detail of her face and eyes. I'll post that one also once its started.

So I'll send you the original and about 10 prints of the drawing. You'll send me back the original signed?
Are you interested in putting some limited edition prints in your online store? Its just a thought as I've noticed you have some other great Alley Art prints for sale. Maybe we can work something out? I'd be honored to draw a few more for the cause also.
Thanks for being not only a great model, but a great person doing the best she can to clean up the environment. If everyone would be as conscious as you about the world we live in, we'd all live in a much better place. |
