*stares at thermometer*
Ok, it's 8°C here right now (that's 46.4° F). So no snow for christmas again *sniff*
Seriously, it's christmas time again and I just DON'T feel any of the christmas spirit. We started playing christmas music at our store at the beginning of December, but we got the first christmas sweets at the beginning of November (so do we get the chocolate easter bunnies right after New Years Day or what??). The Christmas Market here in my town this year isn't what it used to be. There is no big christmas tree like in the last years (whut???), the huts and booths were rearranged and:
IT CLOSES AT 8PM !!!! Only a few stands are open till 8.30 PM. I have to work 'til 8.10PM so the only chance to get there is on the weekends (and as our customers are really whacky this years I'm glad that I have my Sunday to relax and prepare for the next week)
What about the places where you live? Can you feel that it is christmas time? _________________ click here |

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and all that.
As for me, I'll be on vacation in the warm Carribean. So, I'll be on a bit infrequently till February.
Anyway, here's a glass to the things that matter. |

well i wish every one a happy Christmas
I personally don't celebrate the Holiday I'm a druid, and the only thing i care about are my holidays. and no i don't do the sacrificial rituals that a lot of people think we do. now given that it dose not mean that i will not respect the holiday for what it originally was for but i do find it hard to respect it when every one just wants gifts instead of just being together like what the holiday is for _________________ you all saw it, the orphanage attacked me first. |

Darn you, green_fox! Where do you live that you have no snow? I'm in Michigan, and we just got dumped on this past week, with more expected tomorrow! I don't normally get sick of snow this early in the season, but with how crappy the road conditions are all the time and constantly having to re-shovel my driveway every couple of days...
Anyway, enough of my rant. I suppose I'm lucky to have a white christmas, although I'm spending Christmas Day away from the parents for the first time. Too many other family members are travelling all over the country this Christmas, so we've postponed our family get-together for a couple days later. Think I'll go to the movies on Christmas... The Spirit looks like it might be a fun flick...
Must-see movie rental for everyone this holiday season: What Would Jesus Buy? (great documentary about the over-commercialization of Christmas) _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! A Bon Bon Tale)

I live in Germany, only the higher regions here have some snow. Maybe it has to do with my parents buying a snowblower a few years ago (we had tons of snow here then, too).... we didn't have much snow since then *g* _________________ click here |

i live in the center of the U.S, Tulsa Oklahoma (or as i like to say aslut) it was cold but no snow though but this year was better than last if you don't know why its because we had a huge ice storm here and almost all of Tulsa lost electricity i was out of power for all of Christmas and the new year along with 5 days after _________________ you all saw it, the orphanage attacked me first. |

We've actually had snow in the past week. Shame we didn't have any over Christmas though. Didn't have any until we'd all gone back to work. _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

This state in the US is completely ****ed up, I hate it, would think it's more valuable as the world's biggest parking lot than it is now. *sighs* So many dumb people here.

I hate all you people in warmer climates right now... It is currently 3F (-16C), will get as low as -7F (-22C), and there's a Wind Chill Advisory. The temperature won't get back into the double digits until Saturday. And, of course, there's the snow... lots of it...
You have to live here your entire life to understand why we Michiganders put up with this crap every year. _________________ Johnny's Fanfics (including Sureshot! A Bon Bon Tale)

Just wanted to share something and figured this slightly old thread might be the best place for it: we've had several inches of snow in the past day or so here, meaning some people (like me) got the day off work! I might have the day off work tomorrow, too. This hasn't happened over here for years! _________________ Wow, sarcasm! That's original. |

I guess it's done snowing here (for now), but the temps are below zero and the wind is dropping it to at least -30, and that's just run of the mill on an average. It can get to -40 with at least a 50-60 below wind chill, or worse, depends on the conditions. _________________ "If it ain't broke, just wait awhile. Because it will be. |
