I know it's old news to some, but this is what I found out from one fan, when I posted a meme picture on Deviantart about how Ash keeps loosing every Pokemon League, and has to go to a new region afterwards.

''The anime writers announced several times that they don't care about the fan base.
They said they just reuse the same plots over and over and get away with it because the fan rotation is so quick that the same watcher probably wont watch for long enough to see plots get reused.''

And if you think the anime was bad, think about the games!

Like the businessmans said here if it is not broken, do not fix it. This method works the games sell a lot and the anime is watched by a huge audience. I do the same thing at my job, I do not care about the customers I make food for, I feel contempt for them. They keeps coming anyway. The only reason I and the worker of gamefreak to that is because it paid the bills. I do not see what is the problem.

Les acheteurs sont au rendezvous.

S.P.P.

You found that out from a fan? Did this "fan" happen to provide evidence to back up their claim? That just sounds like a hater's response to me. Not to say that I am in anyway defending the makers of Pokemon, but I highly doubt any major corporation would so blatantly say "Nah. Fuck you. We don't care. The next generation will keep us in the black."

Oh, wait... Microsoft...

Nevermind.

Believe it or not! I did create ideas for a new game called ''Pokemon Myth and Legend'', back in 2008. And I did ACTALLY sent it off to Gamefreak in Japan. Only for the ideas to come back, with a reply letter that says that even though I'm very talented, they cannot accept ideas from outside their main office, not even from the country that the office is in! They also sent me a Pokemon keychain and keyring as a token for all I went through.

sounds like the "Mario loop"

main plot, save the princess... she been saved over a dozen times already...

"so let keep reusing that plot point"

mostly you have to look at it this way,
what brothers you about the game? the story or the gameplay?

long time ago, it's mostly about gameplay and not the plot
there are a few with a short story but mostly non at all back then...

it could be they're afraid "if it's not broken, don't fix it"
but it can get boring tho if they keep on doing that...
and no coin gimmic will "fix" that,
so they don't want to "fix it",
but why not just add better features,
story and gameplay features instead
to make it more interesting?

Honestly, I don't think that Gamefreak intended for Pokémon to get this far anyways and wanted to work on something else, but instead got locked into it.

Locked into it? How do you get locked into making something like that? What's to stop them from just... not making another one.

"because the fan rotation is so quick that the same watcher probably wont watch for long enough to see plots get reused.''

Well hope the simpsons doesn't do that. "it will never end!"

but at this rate maybe Disney will buy Nintendo and Pokémon
then Fox and the Simpsons... and we can have strange cross overs.

Didn't they actually say that their 23rd season would be the last? Or something to that extent. I'm pretty sure when the movie came out there was mention they there was only going to be another couple of seasons before they finished.

EDIT:

A quick google turned up this.

http://screenrant.com/the-simpsons-final-season-24-aco-135041/ and a follow-up article http://screenrant.com/the-simpsons-canceled-renewed-two-more-seasons-24-25-aco-135297/

I highly doubt it'll stick around for much longer. Economic progression will force it to grind to a halt. They can't keep taking pay-cuts because eventually those pay-cuts will amount to getting paid nothing. And if anyone tries finding new voice actors or even producers in order to save money... it'll just crash and burn.

I quite agree with you on that one! I wonder if the Pokemon anime would do the same, which I doubt because Japan is just being Japan as usual!

At least Digimon is far superior!

Well, they could go the Capcom way with Megaman and stop making them with little explanation to how the story ends, but that wouldn't sit too well with its fanbase.

Halo was a game Bungie made clear that they didn't want to continue, but so long as Microsoft was paying their bills, they had no other choice.

so they're gonna finally end it eh?
and I thought in my death bed Lisa and Bart would still be in the 5th grade LOL

but heck they might make a "simpsons two" *if they milk it, from fans*
aka Lisa and Bart finally grows up concept
or something like family guy and american dad and cleveland show,
doing that the same universe and town but different characters point of views and life.
