((Shoot, I kinda like pennies. I can still remember the copper / penny shortage in the 80s where you could get $1.15 per 100 pennies at banks and whatnot.
And, I pick up pennies off the street. It's bad luck to leave them... especially if they're face down pennies.
And, if someone is really that lazy to count their pennies, they can dump their change jars into "Coinstar" machines and get the coin into cash that way.
And, if nothing else, you can still find pennies from the 60s and earlier still in circulation... how old is the oldest bill you have? Four... maybe 5 years old? Coinage stays around for decades. What we should be doing, instead of whining about pennies, is educating people into using $1, $2, and $5 coins.)) |

Much as I agree with that staement, I don't think most Americans want to be that much like the British, and paper bills do tend to be a bit lighter, with plastic being even lighter still. _________________ My Fursona(updates occasionally) http://forums.pleasurebonbon.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7537

It's nice that the penny got its redesign, but... did they really have to bother
with doing so, especially since pennies aren't exactly worth carrying around these days? _________________ My Fursona
